Allison Beth Raskin is a comedian, YouTuber, podcaster, writer, and filmmaker from the United States. She is also an advocate for mental health. She began her career as a writer for BuzzFeed Video before moving on to work on the “Just Between Us” YouTube channel.
Raskin has written for publications such as Elle, NBC News Think, and Splinter News. New York Times bestseller “I Hate Everyone but You” was a collaboration between her and Gaby Dunn.
She graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In 2020, she started a clinical psychology program at Pepperdine University with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. She gained an initial following on YouTube for her comedic videos, but as she started talking openly about her own struggles with mental health and how she wanted to help others, she gained a loyal following. With pride, Raskin describes her mental health journey—including her struggle with abandonment, OCD, and anxiety—and she does it openly. “Overthinking About You: Navigating Romantic Relationships When You Have Anxiety, OCD, and/or Depression” is her second book.
